Michael Rogatchi has created his Alone But Not Lonely series being inspired by the project on artistic visualisation of Yiddish poetry of different ages and epochs. The idea was introduced to him by his dear friend Maestro Evgeny Kissin, who is also known as author and translator of Yiddish poetry.
The vision, feelings and images created by two close friends, one great musician and other artist, have been converging on the matters and aspects which are dear and close to the hearts of them both and their families in generations.
The series, echoing Maestro Kissin’s poetry and the poetry of the great Yiddish poets, is projecting humanity, living memory, love, and visually speaks about the beauty of it all in universal meaning.
