Drawings on Jewish Heritage
Soul Talk collection represents Michael Rogatchi’s works on Jewish heritage executed by the artist in customarily for his drawings special technique combining fine drawings in Indian Ink with mixture of several oil pastels reaching depth and volume in the warm colour resolution. The works in this technique are created by Michael exclusively on Italian hand-made cotton paper with a peculiar structure which provide an unique quality to his works on paper.
Michael was named by leading American art expert Ronn Torossian among four ‘ great Jewish contemporary artists ‘, in the noble company of ‘Marc Chagall, Yaakov Agam and Mel Bocher ‘ ( 2013).
Some works from this collection, such are Elijah Song ( 2016) and The Tree of Israel ( 2016) were created as a prototypes for stain-glasses in a prestigious WMA Synagogue in London known as ‘the world Jewry’s London address’.
Some other belongs to notable private collections in the UK, Finland, Russia and Israel.
