Divertimento is special series of Michael’s work dedicated to classical music. The series were created by the artist in 2015 and executed by him in his specially elaborated technique of combining his drawing in Indian Ink with added volume and unique deep colours achieved by specially mixed from three to five or more oil pastels. Working in this his own unique technique, Michael uses exclusively very special Italian hand-made cotton paper with distinctive structure that adds to the uniqueness of these works. Michael’s Divertimento is very popular, critically acclaimed and internationally reproduced series depicting classical music in fresh, original, dynamic, modern and very fine way. The series has been invited to numerous exhibitions world-wide. Some works in the series are dedicated to the great musicians who are the friends of the artist, such as Maestro Evgeny Kissin. Many of these works belongs to numerous notable private collections in Italy, USA, UK, France, Israel and the other countries.
